SITKA, ALASKA
Dinley was hired in 2008 and his initial three-year agreement with the city was set to expire this year. He gets another three years, and stays at the same annual salary of $120-thousand dollars.
Mayor Cheryl Westover says Dinley volunteered to stay at that salary.
Discussion of extending Dinley’s agreement with the city took place in closed session, which is permitted under the Alaska Open Meetings Act. The Assembly voted unanimously in open session to approve the deal.
