Boats along the transient moorage finger in Sitka’s Eliason Harbor take the very worst of the beating during Saturday’s gale (11-12-11). At least two boats sank at their moorings; another broke free and was beached; and still another dragged anchor (but was collared by the Harbor Dept. before it could come to harm).
