Gustavus author Hank Lentfer did not want his anger against the profit-driven destruction of public lands to taint his newborn daughter’s perception of the world as a fundamentally beautiful place. His book “Faith of Cranes: Finding Hope and Family in Alaska” is the story of how he found peace in the 10-million year old migration of Sand Hill cranes. Lentfer will read from his book at 7 PM Tuesday December 6 at Kettleson Library.
