Proving without a doubt that teachers “can do,” Sitka Schools music directors Mike Kernin (Blatchley Middle School) and John DePalatis (Sitka High) open the Saturday night (2-4-12) concert of the Sitka Jazz Festival. The pair jammed with Ed Littlefield on drums, Peter Apathy on bass, and Bob Athayde on piano.
