Sitka High freshman Owen Fulton was among many students — mainly seniors — honored at the school’s annual awards ceremony Monday afternoon (5-14-12). Fulton was acknowledged by director John DePalatis for his outstanding contribution to the music program. Local businesses and organizations handed out tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors. Some of the big winners: Richard Bekeris, Sara Rasmussen-Rehkopf, and Zephyr Feryok each won Alaska Pulp Corporation scholarships worth $20,000.
