Kayla Boettcher, executive director of the Sitka Summer Music Festival, reports on her organization’s receipt of a $260,000 grant from the Murdock Charitable Trust, which will allow for the purchase of the festival’s headquarters at Stevenson Hall. The Murdock Trust, plus a number of individual funders, contributed a total of $530,000 in capital funding, some of which will be used toward repairs of the historic building.
