Due to a fault in the Blue Lake switchyard, all of Sitka lost power this afternoon at approximately 1:40 PM. Powerhouse technicians are currently re-energizing the grid, and estimate that electric service will be restored throughout the community by 2:30.
Once power is back up, they’ll investigate the cause of the outage.
