Vancouver BC-based singer/songwriter Leah Abramson is wrapping up a month-long residency with Sitka’s Island Institute. Abramson’s latest project (for her Master’s Degree at the University of British Columbia) connects — through song — the lives and experiences of a resident pod of killer whales near Vancouver with her own family’s history in the Holocaust. With the Island Institute’s Peter Bradley and KCAW’s Robert Woolsey.
