Paul Magid, the tour coordinator with the New Old Time Chautauqua, shares plans for the group’s final day in Sitka, which includes a potluck and a concert in memory of the community’s ancestors. Magid was joined by local storyteller Bob Sam to talk about the spirit of Chautauqua.
Today’s (07-13-15) “Concert in Honor of Our Ancestors” is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Russian Orthodox Cemetery. The community potluck is tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Sheet’ka Kwan Naa Kahidi. Sitka is the last stop on the Chautauqua’s month-long tour through Southeast.
