Kat Richards, the acute care ER manager at Sitka Community Hospital, was joined by Quality Improvement Director Leslie Fulton talk about National Patient Safety Awareness Week (March 13th – March 19th). The week is designed to teach patients about the potential for harm while receiving medical care and how to prevent harm from happening. Fulton talks about creating a hospital culture where patients – and provides – can report errors and safety concerns.
