Cellist Jeffrey Solow & pianist Doris Stevenson will be performing at the Sitka Summer Music Festival.
Stevenson is one of the five original musicians from the first festival in 1972, and she came to Sitka almost every year for the first 40 years. Solow also came frequently during the first 40 years, and traveled across the state quite a bit on tour with Paul Rosenthal (the founding artistic director) and other musicians.
Solow and Stevenson will perform 6:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, June 15), at the Dock Shack in a free Cafe Concert. They will also perform Thursday at noon at the Odess Theater and Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available at Old Harbor Books.
