Session 1 of the Sitka Arts & Science Festival is this week, and workshop leaders Rob Dunbar and Clark Mishler joined us in the studio to talk about the event. Rob is teaching a workshop about the creation of the landforms and seascapes of Baranof Island and Sitka Sound, while Clark is teaching a workshop about photographing your environment.
Workshops are full for Session I, but people can still sign up for Session II workshops at sitkafestival.org/register. Events will be held every evening between July 16th and July 29th, and are almost all free and open to the public.
