Sitka Area Management Biologist Steve Bethune talks about the Alaska Department of Fish & Game’s upcoming Bowhunter Education Field Day, which will be held Saturday, September 24th from 1 pm – 5 pm at the Sitka Sportsman’s Association building.
Students must first complete an independent online study and test. Students who successfully pass the written test can register online and attend the field day in person to complete the certification. The field day includes a simulated blood trailing exercise and shooting proficiency test.
