Today, Mar. 29 is the 50th anniversary of the first Alaska Airlines jet landing in Sitka. While the first scheduled flight did not arrive until June 1, Mar. 29 1967 kicked off the jet age in Sitka.
For the 50th anniversary, former Alaska Airlines employee, and informal company historian Bill Foster will talk about the historic day.
