Lione Clare will lead a presentation called Vulnerable Vietnam: A Photo Story Focused on Climate Change in the Mekong Delta, 6 p.m. Thursday, June 1st at Sitka Public Library.
During her winter session at the University of Montana, Clare spent a month in Southern Vietnam studying the impacts of climate change on both humans and agricultural systems in the environment.
While on the trip, she took documentary pictures to create a photo story showing what they learned and the impact climate change is having on the area. Clare will be discussing these pictures along with her trip’s findings at the presentation.
“I’m focused on climate change in school, but actually seeing it impact an area in the world was pretty eye opening,” Clare said.
