The Sitka Farmers Market is back, with seven markets on tap this summer. Several vendors are returning and a variety of new vendors as well, offering arts, crafts, and prepared foods – from crepes to smoothies to caramels.
Market Manager Nina Vizcarrondo was joined by Sitka Local Foods Network President Charles Bingham to talk about new innovations at the market, including a kids vendor program, featured cooks, and a matching program where SNAP and WIC clients can double up to $20 of their benefits in local produce.
