It’s the 150th Anniversary of the Alaska Transfer Speaker Series. Jeff Budd talks about the history of the series and what speakers to expect this month.
At these free discussions, Wednesdays at Harrigan Centennial Hall or the Sitka National Historical Park, Sitkans will be hearing from a wide range of people. Among the many are Air Commander Chip Lewin who will talk about the US Coast Guard ‘s history in Alaska, David Ramseur who will discuss his book, “Melting the Ice Curtain”, and Rebecca Poulson who will talk about the origins of the Sitka mission.
The dates and locations of each presentation can be found on the Alaska Transfer Speaker Series website.
