On Thursday, July 13th, the Sitka Assembly is holding a work session at 6 p.m. with Sitka Community Hospital to review their management proposal. Raven Radio will provide a live broadcast from Harrigan Centennial Hall.
The presentation will incorporate the recommendations of Stroudwater Associates, a healthcare consultant, to keep the hospital financially sustainable. The Assembly will take no formal action during this meeting.
We’ll also broadcast the Assembly’s special meeting on Tuesday, July 18th at 6 p.m. as they discuss the future of Sitka Community Hospital, which the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks to purchase. Topics include: SEARHC’s proposal, the Stoudwater report, and putting management of the hospital out to bid through a request for proposal (RFP) process.
The city has cancelled a town hall scheduled for Monday, July 17th.
