Sitka police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed the Cascade Convenience store early Wednesday morning (8-23-17).
According to police, the person entered the store shortly after 12 a.m., wielding a hatchet. The suspect took cigarettes, a variety of merchandise, and cash from the register, and fled the scene on foot.
The on-duty clerk was not harmed.
The suspect was described as five-feet five inches tall, wearing a dark hoodie. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 747-3245.
