Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL) is currently raising funds through a match program with First Bank. SAIL’s mission is to “inspire personal independence” in elderly and the disabled.
After experiencing macular degeneration, Bob Purvis got involved with SAIL. As a board member, Purvis now helps other Sitkans with vision loss access technology. He was joined for the Morning Interview by Program Director Tiffany Justice and Jesuit Volunteer Clare Kelly to talk about SAIL’s programming, including ORCA (Outdoor Recreation and Community Access). Kayaking will begin soon.
First Bank will match every donation SAIL receives through February 28th.
