Budget season is here, and Sitka’s city and school district face tough choices this year. Raven Radio will be opening up the phones for two on-air, call-in shows this week, March 19th and March 21st from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
On Monday, March 19th, Municipal Administrator Keith Brady and staff with the City and Borough of Sitka will be reviewing the FY19 budget plan, answering questions, and taking your calls. Hosted by KCAW reporter Emily Kwong, our conversation will focus on the general fund and big-picture budget questions. On Wednesday, March 21st, Superintendent Mary Wegner and members of the Sitka School District will hold a formal budget hearing on air with KCAW News Director Robert Woolsey.
