Sitkans close to the airport experienced a blip in their power yesterday (06-20-18).
Construction work by the state damaged one of the city’s electric distribution line. The outage began at 2:56 p.m. and affected the Rocky Gutierrez Airport and Air Station Sitka.
The electric department line crew repaired the damage and power was fully restored by 4:51 p.m.
