On Wednesday, October 3, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will test the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system. The WEA test will be sent to all participating cell phone providers in the nation through a Presidential Alert Emergency Notification.
The State of Alaska is seeking to determine the effectiveness of FEMA’s WEA test through a four question follow up survey which will be available on https://ready.alaska.gov/ on the day of the test.
