The Coast Guard rescued three hunters off of William Henry Mountain Monday morning. That’s northwest of William Henry Bay in the Lynn Canal.
They received a request for an agency assist from Alaska State Troopers Sunday evening who said two men and a woman were stranded on the mountain without supplies. The three were not in any immediate danger.
The next morning, an MH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Sitka hoisted the hunters off the mountain and brought them to Juneau. Upon arrival, no medical concerns were reported.
