The Sitka Fine Arts Camp will present Songs for a New World this weekend, a musical that “examines life, love and the choices we make” through the stories of contemporary characters and their songs.
This song cycle features music and lyrics from Tony Award winner, Jason Robert Brown, and is directed by Zeke Blackwell. Cast members Samuel Faustine, Jessica Coker, Rhiannon Guevin, and pianist Robert Fleitz joined Katherine Rose on this Morning Interview to discuss what Sitkans can expect from the show. Branden Noel Thomas and bassist Drew Sherman also star in the musical.
Showdates and times are Thursday, Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. in the Odess theater.
Tickets for the show are $20, $15 for youth, and are available online and at Old Harbor Books.
