Mt. Edgecumbe High School invites Sitkans to support its athletic program at the the 13th annual Mt. Edgecumbe Invitational Basketball Tournament, a fundraising event taking place on Jan. 16-19, 2019.
Andrew Friske contributes to the tournament’s organization. He spoke to KCAW’s Erin Fulton about the event on today’s Morning Interview.
Friske said the tournament will bring 23 adult basketball teams from around the state of Alaska to MEHS’ B.J. McGillis gymnasium from cities like Anchorage, Fairbanks, Hydaburg, Klukwan, Juneau, Petersburg, Klawock, Metlakatla, Ketchikan, Wrangell, Prince of Wales and Kake.
