At a special budget meeting of the Sitka Assembly Thursday (4/25/19), the assembly approved a city employee hiring freeze, voted to re-open the Sitka Public Library on Sundays, and voted against a $50,000 cap on police overtime, with additional overtime requiring assembly approval.
