Ballot initiatives
Ordinance 20-29 Establishing a Fish Box Tax: An ordinance applying a $10 tax to each fish box leaving Angoon. It does not apply to non-commercial fish. The Angoon City Council passed the ordinance in January, and it is now pending voter ratification. The funds will be divided between the Angoon Scholarship Fund (25%), the Harbor Fund (25%), the General Fund (35%) and admin costs associated with the tax (15%). View the full ordinance here.
