High winds, rain don’t spook Sitka’s Halloween revelers

Sitka’s annual Downtown Trick or Treating event is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. This year social distancing was the rule, and many participating businesses offer goodies from their doorways. Almost always a soggy event, Halloween 2020 was notable for a double-storm system that walloped Southeast over the weekend, bringing heavy rains at sea level, and the first deep snows of the winter at elevation.
