Two Sitka basketball teams are headed to the state tournament this week after surprise wins at regionals last week. The Sitka Lady Wolves and the boys team from Mt. Edgecumbe High School won their first games of the season at the regional tournament in Sitka and are now headed to state after winning region five titles. KCAW’s Robert Woolsey checked in with Sitka Sentinel’s sports editor Garland Kennedy to get the latest on Sitka basketball and wrestling news.
