2022 Municipal Election Guide
Sitka’s municipal election was Tuesday, October 4. There were 10 candidates on the ballot running for public office — a three-way race for the mayor’s chair this year, and five Sitkans ran for two open Sitka Assembly seats. Two candidates and a write-in ran for three open seats on the Sitka School Board. Voters also weighed in on two ballot questions.
To help voters make informed decisions, Raven Radio posed questions about some of Sitka’s most pressing policy issues to all 10 candidates. You’ll find their answers linked below.
But we know there are more questions to be asked– so in mid-September we’re hosting several live, on-air election forums – you’ll find those here, along with forums led by other community organizations, as they are published.
