New assistant professor of Health Information Management at UAS Sitka, Becky DeRoos, discusses her program and the need for Health Information Management professionals in Alaska’s healthcare system. HIM is a 2-year degree in Applied Science, with certifications in medical coding, as well as privacy and security. The program is delivered completely online, which prepares graduates for careers in remote work.
