Band classes at Sitka High School and Blatchley Middle School are wrapping up an Artist in Schools Residency with Northern Arizona University’s Dr. Stephen Meyer. Blatchley Middle School will hold its next concert on February 29 at the Sitka Performing Arts Center. Sitka High is gearing up for the Southeast Alaska Music Festival, which will be held in Sitka this April.
This Artists in Schools project is supported by a grant from the Alaska State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts with additional funding from the Rasmuson Foundation.
