A fourth Sitkan has filed to run for one of two open seats on the Sitka Assembly. Earlier this week, assembly member Scott Saline filed to run for re-election.

Saline is wrapping up a one-year term on the assembly. Both Saline and assembly member Kevin Mosher have filed to run for re-election. Robert Hattle is also in the running for an assembly seat, along with former assembly candidate Austin Cranford. Mayor Steven Eisenbeisz has filed to run for re-election, and as of Wednesday, he was the only candidate in the running for the mayor’s chair.

The window for Sitkans to get on the municipal election ballot is closing soon. Candidates have until Friday at 5 p.m. to file.

KCAW offers interviews to all candidates, and once the filing period is over we will invite them to fill out candidate questionnaires and participate in on-air forums to discuss the issues. We’ll provide all of this material for voters on KCAW’s Election Center in early September.
