Robert Hattle filed to run for a seat on the Sitka Assembly last week (7-18-24). KCAW spoke with Hattle about why he’s throwing his hat in the ring, and what issues he’ll focus on, should he win a seat in the October 1 municipal election.

Hattle is the second to file for two open seats on the Sitka Assembly, both three year terms. The mayor’s chair is also up for reelection this year, a two-year term, and there are two open seats on the Sitka School Board up for grabs, both three-year terms.
