Researcher Haleigh Yang is studying sand lance, a forage fish abundant in Southeast Alaska, to understand how changing ocean conditions might affect populations. KCAW’s Meredith Redick sat down with Yang at the Sitka Sound Science Center to learn more about her research. Listen to the full interview below:

Yang is a second-year graduate student at the University of California – Santa Cruz. She is conducting research this summer at the Sitka Sound Science Center.
