At least forty people turned out to Wednesday’s (2-26-25) meeting of the board to register their objections to a proposal from Highmark Marine of Kodiak to operate the facility rent-free.

Safeguard Sitka to hold community forum

Local advocacy group Safeguard Sitka is hosting a community town hall for Sitkans to learn more about cruise tourism in Sitka. The group has advocated for tourism growth in Sitka and against a ballot proposition to limit cruise tourism.
