Woman charged with manslaughter in hit and run death

A woman has been charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide following a hit and run death of a bicyclist on Halibut Point Road earlier this month. 19-year-old Brooke Mulligan was arraigned on Wednesday afternoon.

Sitka man charged with robbery after incident at local bank

Police received a call at around 3:45 p.m. that a man was demanding money and threatening employees in the First Bank lobby. He threw office equipment and assaulted one individual, according to a department press release.
