Tenakee residents hope new, multi-million dollar dock means regular ferry service

The town of Tenakee Springs saw its first ferry in more than five months Wednesday evening (11-9-20) after the completion of a new city dock. Float planes and private vessels provided the only transportation while the state contractor Western Marine Construction constructed the eleven million dollar project. Tenakee Springs announces first known case of the coronavirus

The Chichagof Island community of Tenakee Springs has reported its first known case of the coronavirus. Mayor Dan Kennedy announced the new case on Tuesday.
