Longtime Sitka Search & Rescue veteran found dead on Mt. Verstovia
Mike Motti, a 39-year veteran with Sitka Search and Rescue, climbed Mt. Verstovia every year on his birthday. On Friday (11-4-22) he failed to return. Searchers found him alongside the trail near the top, apparently dead from natural causes.
